Crewe man jailed for sexually abusing child for years
Jamie Meakin pleaded guilty to six child sex offences
A man from Crewe has been jailed for seven years and nine months after sexually abusing a child.
Jamie Meakin, 36, pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting a girl by penetration and five counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl, at Chester Crown Court.
He'll also be on the Sex Offenders Register for life and is subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
The court heard the offences happened over many years, starting when the girl was 12-years-old.
DC Sallis said: “Meakin was well aware of how old this child was, and he still chose to act on his perverse sexual desires by taking advantage of a young, vulnerable individual."
Meakin also pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine after an estimated £760-worth of cocaine was found at an address he was staying at.
