Police are appealing for information after a man suffered serious injuries following a collision on the M6 in Staffordshire late yesterday evening.

Emergency services were called shortly before midnight on Monday (3 November) to the southbound carriageway between junctions 13 and 12 following reports of a collision.

A lorry and a van were involved.

The driver of the van, which had broken down prior to the collision, was standing near to the van when he was involved in the collision.

The man, in his 20s, was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious head injuries, whilst the lorry driver was unhurt.
