Investigation launched after fatal motorbike crash in Bosley

A 43-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent has died after being involved in a crash with two cars

Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a fatal collision in Bosley.

Shortly after 3pm on Monday 4 March, police were called to reports of a collision on the A523 in Bosley, near to the river Dane.

Officers attended the scene and found there had been a collision between an orange and black KTM motorcycle and a silver Vauxhall Vivaro van.

The rider of the motorbike, a 43-year-old man from Stoke-On-Trent, sadly passed away at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the van, a 39-year-old man from Staffordshire was treated for minor injuries.

Sergeant Simon Degg, of the Serious and Complex Collision Investigation Unit, said:

ā€œThis was an incredibly tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.

ā€œAs part of our investigation, we are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

ā€œThe same goes for anyone who has any dashcam or CCTV footage, that may help us determine how this incident occurred.
