Man jailed after knifepoint robbery in Stoke-on-Trent
Ian Johnson has been sentenced to 30 months in prison
A man has been jailed for 30 months after admitting being involved in a knifepoint robbery in Stoke-On-Trent.
The court heard how Ian Johnson posed as a customer at a convenience store before pulling out a knife and threatening staff, demanding cash and cigarettes.
He was arrested nearby after officers reviewed CCTV footage.
The 54-year-old pleading guilty to robbery and possession of a bladed article in a public place at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.
Johnson will also have to pay a surcharge of £228 after he's released.
