Stoke-on-Trent gives homebuyers the most floorspace bang for their buck
Stoke-on-Trent has the cheapest A4-sized area in the West Midlands
Homebuyers in Stoke-on-Trent benefit from the most affordable A4-sized floor space in the West Midlands, according to a property website’s analysis.
Zoopla reports that the average cost for an A4-sized portion of floor space in Stoke-on-Trent is £104, highlighting a considerable difference compared to Warwick, the most expensive location in the region, where the same space costs £213.
The analysis helps potential buyers understand how much floor space their money can typically buy in different areas across the UK.
Richard Donnell, executive director at Zoopla, said: “Our analysis shows that the gap between what £200 gets you in Westminster versus what it buys in the North West is not just a number – it is the difference between a sliver of a page and two full sheets of paper.
“That is the true scale of Britain’s housing divide, and it is something every buyer and homeowner should understand as they plan their next move.”
With housing costs varying greatly from place to place, Zoopla has provided a tool to allow buyers to set a minimum square footage alongside their budget, offering a better understanding of what they can expect in terms of space when buying a home.
