Man dies after being hit by lorry in Cannock
The lorry driver was uninjured
A man has died after being hit by a lorry on the A5 in the Cannock area.
Emergency services were called at around 11am on New Year's Eve to reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a lorry on Watling Street.
The man died shortly afterwards.
The lorry driver was uninjured.
The A5 was closed in both directions during this time.
Anyone with information on the collision is being urged to contact police by calling police on 101 and quoting incident 205 of 31 December.
