Parents in Stoke-on-Trent now have a dedicated place for support in the city centre, as a new Family Hub opens at Hanley Indoor Market.

It offer events, drop-in sessions and a space for families with children up to 19 years old - or up to 25 for those with special needs.

It also features a mural by local artist Chloe Breeze, who has created artwork across the city, including the recent YMCA canteen mural which celebrates Stoke-on-Trent's history.

Cllr Sarah Jane Colclough, cabinet member for children's services at Stoke-on-Trent City Council, says the new space will be a 'real asset' to the market:

"It's about creating a place where families feel welcome, connected and supported.

"By expanding Family Hubs across the city, we're making sure families can access services wherever they live – and this new space will be a real asset for both the market and the city centre."
