A man has been sentenced to 5 years in prison for dealing crack cocaine and heroin in Burton-on-Trent.

Staffordshire Police say they caught Scott Rafferty in possession of a drug line phone last year.

It's as officers were investigating class A drug supply in the area between July and August.

The force said: "We spotted him outside his home and arrested him after he was searched and found in possession of a drug line phone.

"Officers found lots of bulk messages on the phone that had been sent to people in the area advertising the sale of heroin and crack cocaine.

"Rafferty was brought in for interview and was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin."

The 32-year-old later pleaded guilty to all offences in court and was sentenced to five years and six months behind bars.
