Driver Seriously Injured in M56 Collision

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision on the M56 in Cheshire.

Police were called shortly after 11.05pm on Wednesday 28 May to reports of a crash involving a single car on the westbound carriageway between junctions 12 and 14.

Emergency services attended the scene, and the male driver was transported to hospital.

All lanes on the M56 westbound between junction 12 at Runcorn and junction 14 at Ellesmere Port have since reopened.
