Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust says it's currently managing a water supply issue at Leighton Hospital.

This has affected both drinking water and water used for toilets and handwashing. A water tanker is in place and supporting supply to the Emergency Department, while teams work to resolve the issue.

Activity is being postponed where clinically appropriate, with the exception of cancer and other clinically-urgent cases to help reduce pressure on services.

You will be contacted if your appointment is affected. If you do not hear from them, please attend as planned.

Patient visitors are asked to limit attendance to essential visits only, with access prioritised for those visiting end-of-life patients.

Patient safety remains their priority.
