Detectives investigating report of rape in Stoke-on-Trent

Detectives are investigating following a report of a rape in Stoke-on-Trent.

At about 8.10am on Sunday (1 March), officers patrolling on Chell Street in Hanley came across a woman in the street.

Staffordshire Police called paramedics from the West Midlands Ambulance Service who attended the scene and took the woman to hospital.

After speaking to the woman, officers were told that she had been raped by a man in the area.

Police have been speaking to people and looking over CCTV as part of an ongoing investigation.

They say no suspect has yet been identified.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have any information that can help with their enquiries.
