"Vile" abuser jailed for raping and controlling woman in Cheshire
Connor Dunkley, 31, has been jailed for six years
A man who domestically abused and raped a woman he was in a relationship with in Cheshire has been jailed for six years.
Chester Crown Court heard how Connor Dunkley was physically and verbally abusive to the victim over the course of their relationship.
He told her she wasn’t good enough or attractive enough for him, and forced her to have sex.
He also took her money, and isolated her from her friends and family.
Dunkley, 31, from Fern Hill, Benllech, Tyn Y Gongl was previously found guilty of:
- engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour
- rape
- and criminal damage
"Vile, unforgivable and callous"
DC Ashley Frowe said: “Dunkley’s behaviour towards this woman was vile, unforgivable and callous. The sentence reflects the seriousness of his crimes and that behaving in this way will not be tolerated.
"I’d urge anyone in a similar position to contact us, or a support agency, to help them break free. Don’t suffer in silence.”
