CCTV image released after sexual assault on train from Crewe to Manchester
Detectives seek information to aid investigation
Detectives have released a CCTV image in connection with a sexual assault that occurred on a train journey from Crewe to Manchester.
The incident took place shortly before 7pm on Saturday, 14th March, when a man boarded the train at Crewe railway station after travelling from Liverpool.
While on board, the man sat next to and sexually assaulted a teenage girl before disembarking the train at Manchester Piccadilly.
Investigators wish to speak with the individual in the image as he may hold information valuable to the case.
The British Transport Police are urging anyone who recognises the man to contact them.
Individuals can reach the police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, citing reference 639 of 17th March.
