Police appeal after man exposes himself to woman near Caldon Canal

Officers are appealing for witnesses after they receieved reports of a man exposing himself to a woman on a canal towpath in Stockton Brook.

Police say a man on a dark blue mountain bike stopped in front of the victim and pulled his shorts down near to Stanley Road and lock nine of the Caldon canal.

It reportedly happened just before 3.15pm on Monday 13 July.

The suspect is being described as white, aged around 40 and wearing grey baggy shorts, no top and a black woolly hat.

Anyone with information which could help officers with the investigation is being urged to call 101 quoting incident number 515 of 13 July.
