2 attempted murder arrests after Stoke collision

A teenage boy has suffered head injuries and remains in critical condition

Two men have been arrested after a car collided with a pedestrian in Stoke-on-Trent.

A non-stop collision took place on College Road, Shelton, near to The Thomas Boughey Children’s Centre at 6.30pm last night (Monday 4 August).

A pedestrian, a teenage boy, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

His condition is described as critical but stable.

An 18-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested at the scene, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has been further arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A 20-year-old, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested this morning (Tuesday 5 August) on suspicion of attempted murder.

Both remain in custody.

The car, a dark blue BMW, has been recovered from near to Basford Park.
