Appeal for witnesses following serious crash on M6

The collision involved one vehicle

Officers are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the M6.

The force says at around 4.30pm on Thursday 10 April, police were called to reports of a collision on M6 southbound between junction 19 and 20.

The collision involved one vehicle, a blue Subaru Outback, which had left the carriageway onto the grass verge.

The driver, a 63-year-old man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The passenger, a 63-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Inspector Bradley Hughes said:

“As we carry out our investigation into this incident we would like to ask anyone who saw what happened to get in touch with us.

“The same goes for anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident."
