Stoke man jailed for ten child sex offences in the 70s and 80s
Andrew Davies has been jailed for nine years
A man from Stoke-on-Trent who committed a string of child sex offences in the 70s and 80s has been jailed for nine years.
58-year-old Andrew Davies was previously found guilty of ten sexual offences.
The survivors came forward in 2023 and told police.
Davies has been put on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.
He was found guilty of:
- one count of rape of a female under 16
- four counts of sexual assault of a girl
- one count of inciting a girl to commit an act of gross indecency
- two counts of inciting a girl to commit an act of gross indecency
- two counts of sexual assault of a girl
Detective Constable Lily Rowley said: “Davies is a dangerous offender who has rightfully been put behind bars for his heinous crimes.
“I’d like this to serve as a message to any survivors out there that we are determined to deliver justice for you and to act robustly against those responsible.”
