10-year-old airlifted to hospital after Alsager crash

A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion on drink driving

A 10-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital after a crash between his bicycle and a car in Alsager, Cheshire.

Officers say they were called to the scene just after 5pm on Tuesday (2nd December).

A 51-year-old man from Crewe was arrested on suspicion on drink driving but has since been released under investigation.

The 10-year-old boy was taken to Alder Hey Hospital by air Ambulance.

Sergeant Pete Mcloughlin, of the Roads and Crime Unit at Cheshire Police said: “Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and we’re keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident.

“The same goes for anyone who may have any CCTV or dashcam footage which could aid our Investigation.”
