It would be their third in three years

Wrexham are eyeing a return to the Championship for the first time in nearly 40 years, when they face Charlton Athletic.

The Red Dragons have to win, and will need third-placed Wycombe Wanderers to drop points to Leyton Orient, for their automatic promotion to be confirmed.

But fans may have to wait until the final day of the season, with Charlton on a strong run and Wycombe expected to win their game.

Wycombe kick-off before Wrexham in League One, so the players will know the result going into the game.

A win will still be important to keep Wrexham second in the table, and in control of their Championship destiny.

Fail to finish second and they will drop down into the play-off spots.
