Wales have named their team to take on France at the Principality Stadium this Sunday.

Head coach Steve Tandy has made four changes to the starting 15 for the first home match of the championship, with Rhys Carre and Tomas Francis joining captain Dewi Lake in the front row.

Olly Craknell is picked at number eight for his Six Nations debut, while Aaron Wainwright moves to blindside and Alex Mann to openside flanker.

Tomos Williams and Dan Edwards keep their places as scrum-half and fly-half. Joe Hawkins makes his first appearance this championship at inside centre, lining up with club teammate Eddie James at outside centre.

Louis Rees-Zammit starts at fullback, with Josh Adams and Ellis Mee on the wings.

The bench includes five forwards and three backs, with Ryan Elias set for his first Wales appearance since the 2024 Autumn Nations Series.

Nicky Smith and Archie Griffin provide front row cover, while Ben Carter and Taine Plumtree complete the forward replacements. Jarrod Evans, Mason Grady and Kieran Hardy are the backs on the bench.

Head coach Steve Tandy says: “There are a few changes for this week, based on who we’re playing. Olly Cracknell has trained really well and was strong in the autumn. Last week’s performance was disappointing, and the team has been open about it. Discipline needs to improve, and we’re focused on putting more of our game out on the field on Sunday.”

He added: “We’re excited to get back to Principality Stadium. The crowd was incredible in the autumn, and the supporters really inspire the players. Our aim this weekend is to inspire the fans too.”
