Huge wildfire rips through mountain near Skewen

Residents in Skewen have endured a terrifying night as a huge wildfire swept across Drumau Mountain, lighting up the night sky and blanketing the area in thick smoke.
The fire, visible for miles, has sent plumes of smoke drifting over terraced homes and residential streets, creating challenging conditions for those living close by.
Emergency services have been working non-stop through the night to control the blaze and protect nearby properties.
Fire crews have urged people in the area to keep all windows and doors firmly closed against the smoke.
Local roads have also been kept clear to ensure emergency vehicles can access the scene quickly and safely.
MWWFRS said: "Firefighters from Neath, Pontardawe, Reynoldston, Swansea Central, Port Talbot, Amman Valley, Llanelli and Ammanford Fire Stations have attended the incident.
"This incident is currently ongoing. Firefighters remain at the scene and continue to work to bring the fire under control.
"Members of the public are asked to avoid the affected areas to allow emergency services to operate safely and effectively.
"If smoke is affecting your area, stay indoors where possible and keep windows and door closed. Once the smoke has cleared and it is safe to do so, open windows and doors to help ventilate your home."
There are also reports that a local nursing home may have been evacuated as a precaution.
Rhondda MP Sir Chris Bryant expressed anger and frustration at the continued threat of wildfires in the region, saying that firefighters and residents should not have to face these relentless incidents.
