Craig Cole attacked a man with a bottle on New Year's Day 2025
A man from Powys has been jailed after admitting to launching an attack with a bottle inside a Swansea nightclub during the early hours of New Year’s Day in 2025.
Craig Cole, 27, from Ystradgynlais targeted a man he had seen speaking to his former partner, leaving the victim with four head wounds, one of which required gluing back together.
He pleaded guilty to Section 18 wounding with intent and has been sentenced to 30 months in prison.
Police statement on the attack
PC Matthew McGowan said:
“Craig Cole is a young man who was clearly full of immense jealousy regarding any attention shown to his ex-partner.
“That jealousy caused him to become violent. His actions were completely unacceptable and could have caused lasting damage to the victim.
“There was no other alternative outcome than for Cole to go to prison.”
