Family pay tribute to teenager who had been planning to go travelling

Police have named an 18-year-old man who died following a collision near Cardiff.

Dominic Bailey lost his life after two cars were involved in a crash on the A48, the Tumble, on Saturday night.

South Wales Police are continuing their investigation into the collision which occurred at approximately 8pm, involving two cars, a grey MG and a black Land Rover Defender.

The driver and passenger of the Land Rover were taken to hospital where they currently remain.

Dominic's family have given the following tribute: "Dominic was finishing his A level exams at the Bishop of Llandaff High School where he had been a pupil for the past seven years.

"He had been offered a place at University of Malaysia but decided to follow his dreams of seeing the world and go travelling instead.

"There was no one quite like Dominic. He could put a smile on anyone’s face. He was such a clever young man who had his whole life ahead of him.

"Dominic’s family are devastated and say life will never be the same again without him."
