Tributes have been paid to a 16-year-old boy who died following a road collision on Penarth Road, at the junction with Clare Road, Grangetown, Cardiff.

It happened last Wednesday when Miracle Oladoyinbo was riding his bike and collided with a SsangYong Tivoli.

South Wales Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to help piece together what happened.

Miracle's family have issued a statement, describing him as "a beacon of joy and compassion" with a deep love for music and faith. They said:

“Miracle Oladoyinbo was a beacon of joy and compassion, a 16-year-old whose life was defined by a profound love for God and an unwavering commitment to his faith. A gifted musician, he didn't just play music; he used his talents as a ministry to uplift spirits and bring comfort to everyone around him.

"To know Miracle was to be touched by his warmth and inspired by his grace. While his life was tragically cut short, the melody of his kind heart and the strength of his testimony will resonate forever in the hearts of the family and community who loved him so dearly.”

Roads policing officers are urging anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision to check dashcam footage or private CCTV for any relevant information.

They are keen to find anyone who may have seen the incident or has footage that could assist their investigation.
