Man hospitalised with life-threatening injuries after alleged assault in Ebbw Vale
Police appeal for witnesses following serious incident outside The Picture House pub
A 37-year-old man from Ebbw Vale has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following an alleged assault outside The Picture House pub.
The incident occurred sometime between 11.30pm on 20th February and 12.15am on 21st February.
Gwent Police were alerted by the Welsh Ambulance Service at around 12.20am on 21st February to reports of the assault on Bethcar Street.
Detective Inspector Elaine Newbury of Gwent Police revealed that enquiries are ongoing to understand the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault.
"Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of this alleged assault," Detective Inspector Newbury said.
"While we believe this to be an isolated incident, we understand that reports of violence in our communities can be upsetting and unsettling."
Police presence is active in the area, gathering evidence and CCTV footage.
Authorities are appealing for any witnesses or individuals with CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward and help with their investigation.
