Man charged with fraud over MOT of car that killed three in St Mellons
Neil Lewis is charged with fraud by false representation, after police uncovered issues with the MOT during their investigation

An investigation into a serious crash on the A48 has led to a fraud charge related to an MOT.
Neil Lewis, a 47-year-old from Ely, is set to appear at Cardiff Magistrates Court on 21st July 2026.
The charge involves an MOT for the vehicle that was part of the fatal collision at 2.03am on 4th March 2023.
The accident resulted in the deaths of driver Rafel Jeanne and passengers Darcy Ross and Eve Smith.
The potential fraudulent activity was uncovered during the ongoing investigation into the crash.
Following the collision, the group was located nearly two days after being reported missing.
