Man charged with manslaughter after Ebbw Vale assault
Charge follows fatal incident outside a pub
A 30-year-old man from Cardiff has been charged with manslaughter after an assault in Ebbw Vale resulted in a man's death.
He is currently remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Newport Magistrates’ Court on 26th February.
The incident occurred outside The Picture House pub on Bethcar Street, Ebbw Vale, between 11.30pm on 20th February and 12.15am on 21st February.
The victim, identified as Marcus Lee Carpenter, a 37-year-old from Tredegar, was hospitalised in a life-threatening condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
Marcus Carpenter's family has been informed of the tragedy and is receiving support from specialist officers.
