A crash involving a lorry has lead to long delays on the M4 in south Wales.

Two lanes have been closed, westbound, between junction 34, Miskin, and 35, Pencoed for a large part of the day, following the collision at around 9.30am.

Earlier, attempts to recover the heavy goods vehicle were hampered due to it's location - just off the carriageway surface.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “Officers were called at 9.30am this morning to the M4 Westbound between junction 34 and 35 to report of a HGV having come off the road.

"No serious injuries were reported and the lanes were temporarily closed while recovery occurred.”
