Police given extra powers in Cardiff Bay this weekend

It follows reports of anti-social behaviour in the area

Police have been given extra powers to deal with anti-social behaviour in and around the Cardiff Bay area this weekend.

A section 35 dispersal order is in place around a number of areas including Harbour Bay, Britannia Quay and Cargo Road.

It gives uniformed officers and PCSOs the power to move people on if they believe they are likely to cause, harassment, alarm, or distress.

The order is in place until 4pm on Sunday 23rd August.
