Man charged after e-bike collision in Caerau
More than 800 illegal mechanically propelled vehicles (MPVs) have been seized since August 2025
A man has been charged following an incident in Amroth Road, Caerau, on Tuesday night (August 11).
South Wales Police was called to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and an e-bike just after 8.30pm.
The pedestrian was an on-duty police officer.
Jake Fernades, 25, from Caerau, has been charged with driving a Sur-Ron electric off-road bike dangerously, driving without insurance, driving without a licence, possession with intent to supply cannabis and cultivation of cannabis.
He is due to appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday, August 13).

Regular operations are said to be taking place across South Wales.
