Investigation continues into fatal fire in Cwmbran

An investigation is continuing into the report of a fire at an address in Henllys Way, St Dials, Cwmbran, at around 8.40pm on Saturday 18th October.
Specially-trained police officers, along with colleagues from the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, will be carrying out investigative work at the scene over the next few days.
A 75-year-old woman died at the scene of the fire.
Her family has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
He has been released on police bail as our enquiries continue.
Superintendent Laura Bartley said: "Our thoughts are firmly with the family and friends of the victim as we carry out our enquiries.
“The investigation team is committed to establishing the full circumstances leading to the fire.
