Four more people charged after teenage boys killed in motorbike crash
Two others have already been charged with murder following the deaths of Ta-Shay Canoville and Jaydon Bowyer in May
Four people from Newport have been charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice following the deaths of two teenagers last month.
Yonis Zaid, aged 18, Ella Persse, aged 21, Montaser Yafai, aged 23, and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Newport Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 23rd June.
Zaid, Persse, and Yafai have been remanded into custody, while the 16-year-old has been released on conditional bail.
The charges are linked to the deaths of Ta-Shay Canoville, aged 16, and Jaydon Bowyer, aged 19, who were pronounced dead after a motorbike and a car collided on Aberthaw Road in Alway, Newport, in the early hours of Thursday, 7th May.
Two others have also been charged with murder following the incident.
The boy's families have paid heartfelt tribute to them. Ta-Shay Canoville was described as "beloved" and someone "whose life touched so many hearts."
They expressed gratitude for having been part of his life and requested privacy.
Jaydon Bowyer's family remembered him as "deeply loved" and spoke fondly of his charm and kindness, emphasising his aspirations and the vibrant energy he brought into every room.
