Emergency services respond after man’s death in Cardiff

Emergency services are currently at a property in Cardiff city centre after a man died in the early hours of this morning.

Police and several emergency vehicles remain at Despenser Gardens in the Riverside area.

The street, which is close to the Principality Stadium and a children’s playground, is a busy part of the city.

South Wales Police say the man’s death is being treated as “unexplained” at this stage. Officers were seen arriving at the property shortly before half past seven this morning.

The area has a visible police presence, with several officers and emergency vehicles stationed outside the building.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “Emergency services are responding to the death of a man in a property on Despenser Gardens, Riverside, Cardiff. There are a number of emergency vehicles and police presence at the scene. The death is being treated as unexplained at this time. More details will follow as soon as available.”
