Police have launched a manhunt in Carmarthen after a woman was allegedly stabbed in a park on Thursday afternoon (January 29th).

Officers and emergency services rushed to the scene just after 4pm, with the victim taken to hospital for treatment to wounds on her torso and hand.

Dyfed-Powys Police say they’ve identified a male suspect, who is known to the victim, and are carrying out searches in the Picton Terrace and Carmarthen Park areas.

Several locations around the town remain cordoned off as officers work to locate and arrest the man.

Investigations are ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information about the attack or the whereabouts of the suspect to come forward.
