Woman dies after collision involving car and double decker bus on the Isle of Wight
The collision happened in Church Road in Shanklin just after 6pm last night
A woman in her 70s has died after the car she was driving was involved in a collision with a bus on the Isle of Wight.
Officers were called at 6.09pm last night (16 June) to reports of a collision on Church Road, Shanklin.
The collision involved a bus and a Fiat Panda.
The driver of the Fiat, a woman in her 70s, was seriously injured and despite the best efforts of emergency services, sadly died at the scene.
Inspector Andy Tester, said: “As part of our investigation we would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who has relevant dash cam footage capturing the incident or the moments leading up to it. If you can help, please get in touch with us at the earliest opportunity.”
