Winchester Pride will take to the streets today after a hiatus following the pandemic.

A parade and various entertainers including Misty Lee are expected to be part of the festival.

Charity, Winchester Pride, is running the event with the aim to promote equality, inclusivity and diversity.

Gary Whiter, Chair of Winchester Pride, said, “Representation is important and we want this year’s Pride to showcase and celebrate the amazing diversity of Winchester.

"At a time of rising bigotry, it’s a day where everybody can be themselves, relax and have fun in a safe space.

"It’s not just for those from the LGBTQ+ community, it’s for everyone from across the city who wants to come along, show their support and join in the festivities.”
