Tributes paid to mother and daughter from Portsmouth who died in A3 crash

Family honour the lives of Michelle and 7-year-old Theia

A heartfelt tribute has been paid to a mother and daughter who both lost their lives in a collision on the A3.

Emergency services were called shortly after 10am on Thursday 19th February following a crash involving a red Ford Fiesta on the A3 southbound, just past Hindhead Tunnel.

The victims have been identified as 43-year-old Mary Michelle Devine, commonly known as Michelle, and her seven-year-old daughter Theia, both from Portsmouth.

The family shared a tribute, expressing their grief and love:

"Our family mourn the most beautiful two souls you could ever meet.

"Our beautiful, beloved little Theia who had so much confidence and life in her and our crazy Michelle who was vibrant and had a heart of gold.

"We truly love them and will miss them everyday.

"They both had so much personality and so many loved ones, our hearts are broken."

Investigation and Witness Appeal

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.

Witnesses or motorists who have relevant dash cam footage are urged to contact the police by calling 101 quoting reference 44260083669.
