Third arrest after man stabbed in Portswood
Two men are being held on suspicion of attempted murder
A third person's been arrested after a man was stabbed in Southampton.
It's after police were called to an address in Brookvale Road in Portswood on Tuesday night.
When police arrived they found a 36-year-old man with a serious stab wound, he was taken to hospital by paramedics.
Two men from the city, both in their 30s, have now been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
A woman has also been detained on suspicion of helping an offender.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said:
"Investigators are continuing enquiries today, and have been granted a custody extension for the two people, a man and a woman, who had previously been arrested.
"Just before midnight last night (September 2), a second man, aged 32 and who lives in Southampton, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody at this time.
"Our local neighbourhood policing team will also be on patrol around Portswood today, including in Brookvale Road, so if you do have any questions or concerns then please do speak with them."
