Man charged with stalking and sexual assault in Southampton
Police say it's after a series of incidents involving a 19-year-old woman
A man has been charged with stalking and sexual assault, after a number of incidents involving 19-year-old woman in Southampton.
Police say they had a report on Sunday (9th February) that a man had entered her workplace and touched her inappropriately, over her clothing.
The woman said he'd previously been unknown to her, but had been repeatedly visiting her place of work and made her feel uncomfortable.
Officers arrested a man, and he's since been charged.
Craig Wesley Mintram, 43, of Weston Lane, appeared in court this morning (Tuesday 11th February), accused of sexual assault, stalking and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
He's next due in court next month.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary added: "Violence against women and girls of any kind is a priority for us and we take all reports of these offences incredibly seriously."
