Police are appealing for information after a hit-and-run incident involving a teenage cyclist in the New Forest.

The collision took place just after 5.30pm on Wednesday, 15th April, on Jordan’s Lane, Boldre, between a car and a 13-year-old cyclist.

The driver of the car, described as large and dark in colour, failed to stop at the scene.

The cyclist was transported to Southampton General Hospital, where he received treatment for serious injuries.

Authorities are especially interested in hearing from anyone who observed a large dark-coloured vehicle in the Jordan’s Lane area around the time of the incident.

They are also appealing to anyone with CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage of the area during the collision.

Witnesses who saw the young cyclist stopped or injured at the roadside are encouraged to contact the police.
