Man who smashed up cars with motorcycle chain jailed
The 24-year-old also threatened to kill a police officer with it
A man who drunkenly smashed the windows of 14 cars in Bognor Regis has been jailed for 21 months.
24-year-old Inde Sneddon, of no fixed address, used a metal motorcycle chain to damage vehicles in the Nyewood Lane area on December 20th last year.
He was remanded in custody following the incident, which began after he shouted homophobic abuse at a bus driver and smashed the bus window.
When police responded he continued to wield the chain, threatening to kill a police officer and kicking a police dog.
Sneddon was charged and pleaded guilty to 14 counts of criminal damage, resisting arrest, causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, theft from a motor vehicle, possession of an offensive weapon, threats to kill, and a public order offence.
He was sentenced at Portsmouth Crown Court last Thursday (February 13th).
PC Emma Lacey of Sussex Police said:
"We will not tolerate violent and anti-social behaviour. Inde Sneddon, who was drunk and aggressive, has since shown no remorse.
"I am pleased with the sentence he has been given."
