Late night for south coast children as England play their first World Cup match

It will be a late night for lots of school children across the south coast, who are being allowed to stay up to watch England's first match at the World Cup.

Kick-off is at 9 o'clock our time - which means many youngsters will be going to up to bed much later than usual.

Venues across the south coast are preparing big screens to show England's first match at the World Cup tonight.

Pubs and sports bars across the area will welcome fans later as Thomas Tuchel's team take to the pitch in Texas.

Meanwhile, Southampton's St Mary's stadium has three venues available: The Dell, Level 1, and - for fans who like it loud and lively - the Northam Fan Zone.
