Hampshire's in the top 10 cruellest areas of the country, according to the RSPCA.
The animal charity's reviewed the number of cruelty reports recorded over the summer months, which found Hampshire to be the ninth worst in the country.
In Hampshire the number of cruelty reports over the summer months increased from 129 to 133 last year, a 3% increase.
Suzanne Norbury, a spokesperson from the RSPCA, said: "We need to encourage people to see that animals are sentient, just like we are, that they feel pain, they feel hurt, just like we do, and understand what impact those actions can have on that animal.
"So if that's someone perpetrating those actions, we'd really encourage them to think about what they're doing.
"If anyone knows of anyone behaving in such a way, we'd encourage them to contact us, and raise that awareness with us as well."
In June, July and August last year the RSPCA received 6,322* cruelty calls to their emergency line last year which is one call every 10 minutes when the line is open.
In comparison the charity took 3,852 calls for the same period in 2021 - showing a 64% increase in just 5 years.
Since last year, there has also been a startling 22% annual increase in cruelty calls, with 21,117 in 2025 compared to 17,260 in 2024.
