A woman in her 80s has died in hospital after a collision in Romsey.

Police were called at 9.13pm on Friday 18 April after a collision occurred on Luzborough Lane in Romsey.

The vehicles involved were a black Ford Fiesta and a black Audi A3.

One of the passengers of the Fiesta, a woman in her 80s from North Baddesley, was taken to hospital with a serious injury, where she sadly died on 11 May.

Her family are being supported by specialist officers.

Two of the other occupants of the Fiesta are currently being treated for injuries that occurred during the collision.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for information as part of their enquiries.

A spokesperson said:

"We are keen to hear from anyone with any relevant dash cam footage or anyone who may have seen the vehicles prior to the collision.

"It is believed there was another vehicle directly behind the Fiesta when the collision occurred and we are particularly keen to speak to the occupants as they may be key witnesses."
