Bathing water closed for 2 mile stretch of the Hampshire coast

It's due to a burst sewage pipe

Swimmers have been told to keep out of the water for now for a two mile stretch along the Hampshire Coast.

Its after a sewage pipe burst.

It happened on Tuesday night but pollution managed to spell into the water until the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Fareham Borough Council and The Environment Agency have closed the bathing water between Hill Head and Lee-on-the-Solent while Southern Water continue to make repairs.
