11 homes burgled as thieves target Havant and Waterlooville

£15,000 worth of jewellery and watches were taken during one break-in

Police are investigating a series of burglaries in the Waterlooville and Horndean areas.

Between 26 September and 11 October, about £15,000 worth of watches and jewellery was stolen from an address in Cedar Crescent, Horndean.

On 9 October an address in Nore Farm Avenue was broken into but it is not believed anything was stolen at this time.

Between 6 October and 10 October, an address in Spring Vale, Waterlooville, was broken into but nothing was believed to have been taken.

Jewellery was stolen from address in Almond Close, Waterlooville, following a break-in on 17 October.

Four separate addresses in Selangor Avenue, Waterlooville, were broken into between 29 October and 14 November. Jewellery, cash and personal items have been reported stolen.

An address in Anvil Close, Waterlooville, was broken into between 9 November and 12 November. Nothing is believed to have been stolen at this time.

Between 10 November and 14 November there was a break-in at an address in Beech Way, Horndean, in which some jewellery was stolen.

On 18 November an address in Hazleton Way, Horndean, was broken into. It is unknown if anything was stolen at this time.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said:

"We are reviewing CCTV footage from the addresses and neighbouring properties and would ask anyone in the Horndean and Waterlooville areas to please check if they have any footage of suspicious activity which may be linked to these incidents.

"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference 44250460980.

"We advise people to install external security cameras and security lights around their properties as a deterrent and to report anything suspicious to the police."
