Youngest person runs the full length of the UK for Motor Neurone Disease
Taunton Town have shared his story - saying the story is incredibly close to their hearts
Taunton Town have paid a special mention to the youngest person to run the full length of the UK.
In his extraordinary challenge, Marcus Skeet has been raising money for MIND - a charity incredibly close to his heart and theirs at Taunton Town FC too.
Back in April, Marcus joined the squad at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium for their fixture against AFC Totton.
Everyone at TTFC say they loved meeting him so early on in his journey.
At that point, he had already raised an impressive £20,000 - but he's now surpassed a staggering £100,000 - and donations are still open via his JustGiving page, helping to push that total even higher.
Sharing his story, they said: "First-Team Manager Richard Luffman had the pleasure of interviewing Marcus that evening in April, and he wanted to share this message with him as he continues to inspire us all.
"Here at Taunton, we want to take this moment to highlight the importance of reaching out and connecting with others in times of need.
"Cygnet Health Care, our wonderful sponsors, provide a wide range of health and social care services to young people and are always on hand to help through their dedicated care teams.
"We also want to give a special mention to Talk Club - our local mental health support group - who have been there for TTFC staff and supporters during difficult times and continue to offer exceptional support to the community.
"A big well done, Marcus - and keep being an inspiration."
