Yeovil Town ends formal relationship with Community Trust
We're set to hear more details about the next steps in the coming weeks
Yeovil Town Football Club has announced a significant shift in how it manages its community engagement programmes, ending its formal relationship with the Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust.
The club has decided to directly deliver its community initiatives, ensuring that they better align with its values and vision.
The decision came after discussions with the Community Sports Trust did not result in a shared direction forward, although Yeovil Town was initially prepared to continue honouring the existing service agreement.
The club expressed gratitude for the Trust’s contributions over the years and wished them well in their future endeavours.
They said how the welfare and future prospects of young individuals participating in their educational programmes have been a primary consideration throughout this process, and is actively in touch with students and their parents.
The strengthened partnership with Yeovil College aims to enhance educational offerings and secure promising futures for young people both academically and within the realm of football.
The move to bring community programmes under direct club management is set to give these initiatives greater focus and investment, reflecting a deep commitment to serving both the club's vision and its community.
The club plans to continue all existing community initiatives, now delivered directly by Yeovil Town with an emphasis on increased investment and focus.
The involvement of first-team staff and players in schools, grassroots clubs, and various community projects is expected to expand, marking the club’s commitment to making a positive impact off the pitch as well as on it.
More details about its community plans are to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
