Two vehicles have been swept to sea, at Burnham-on-Sea, during a rescue.
It happened yesterday, at Brean Sands Holiday Park.
A Beach Warden was rescuing a child, who was stuck in the mud, while the tide was coming in.
Somerset Council said: "This is an unfortunate incident, which happened while our Beach Safety Warden was rescuing a child, who was trapped in the mud on an incoming tide.
"Crucially, they got the child to safety, but unfortunately his vehicle became stuck and a further vehicle which went out to assist also became stuck. Both were caught by the tide. Thankfully nobody was injured.
"The vehicles will be recovered as soon as possible."
