VE Day celebrations in full swing in Somerset
Organisations are holding events to mark the 80th anniversary.
Celebrations are set to be in full swing in a few hours across Somerset to mark VE Day.
It's 80 years today since the end of the Second World War.
To mark the day, places across Somerset are holding festivals, shows and tours.
The Museum of Somerset are hosting a walk around to show how the people of Somerset responded to the challenges of war.
As well, Mid-Somerset Showground are a holding an event full of music, memories and a beacon tribute.
Christine Barham is part of the organisers, she said: "We're part of the national beacon lighting and so we're building an evening around that. So, we've got live music, we're having fish and chips available for people to buy, and also got a licenced bar there.
"The beacon lighting will be at 9:30.
"Also, encouraging people to come in the right era of fancy dress.
"And also bring along classic cars they have, and if they have a military vehicle, we'd love them to bring that along as well. So, we're trying to make it a family fun community evening."
